Weightloss: Goals

Weight Loss goals: 2008

1. See 180’s by March 1, 2008.

I’ve been shuffling around the same 6 lbs since I started WW and I’m tired of it! I know it doesn’t work for some people to set “timed” goals but I’m such a calendar/to do list/planner driven person that I think this will help push me forward! If I don’t hit it, it’s okay…no the end of the world but at least this way I don’t get into the mentality of “Oh, I’ll just do better/eat better/ run more…next week!” Goal Met: March 8, 2008

2. Lose 10 lbs

Because its really more than I’ve lost in a LONG time and its halfway to 10%. Goal Met: April 12, 2008.

3. Lose 10% of my body weight.

As many of you already know, this is everyone’s first major goal at Weight watchers so I’m making it mine!

4. Get out of obese BMI to overweight BMI.

That would require me moving from a BMI of 34.9 where I started to a BMI of less than 29.9 so that’s my next goal. I’ve been obese for atleast 6 years from what I can remember so it’ll be fantastic to see “overweight” again. For 5′4″ height, a BMI of 29.9 is 174 lbs so that will be my next goal.

5. Run a 5k.

It takes a lot of time and motivation for me to exercise and right now I think working up to a race is damn near impossible. Perhaps doing this will get me into the gym and reintroduce me to all the reasons I loved working out in the first place. Plus being a runner has always been something I aspired to but thought it was too unrealistic…whats my excuse? I’m not built to be a runner! Well I’m changing my build now so I’m out of an excuse.

6. Reach goal weight of 121 lbs.

Honesltly, at this point, I’m not too sure if this is an appropriate goal weight or if this is even something I can accomplish within this year. I have no idea if this is too challenging/unrealistic and only time will tell! So we’ll wait and see on this one.

*More additions to come*

I love reading goals! In a way, it keeps me motivated. I guess the whole setting a plan thing inspires me. haha.

One of my goals is to run a 5k also! Although, I haven’t ran that long without stopping since high school, I sure I can do it (you can too!).
