Yup, thats what I saw this morning when I did my unofficial weigh in. I just popped in to say that I hope it sticks for tomorrow’s weight watchers weigh in!! *cross fingers* That will put me right on track for Goal#1.

I signed on wanting to write so much but I got a phone call and then I had to write a check and one thing led to another and now an hour later…I just don’t have it in me. So short post tonight; I’m just checking in. I hit the gym today but did a pretty light workout: I’m a little sore and TOM came today and I was majorly cramping. Oh and I’m a little pissed because I was beautifully poised at 190ish and now with TOM…I literally shot up to 193 in less than 24 hours. No joke. I know its water weight and I’m desperately drinking water to take away that bloated feel but still ugh. why two days before weigh in?
Okay, really off to bed now.
I realized I haven’t posted my food journals for a while so here’s three days worth in case you were dying to see ;)

Dear Readers, get ready…because I’m about to reveal a deep dark secret to you….one that you can only learn through experience…A lesson that I had to painfully stumble upon at this point in my life…one that I am willing to share with you if you listen closely…are you ready…no really, are you READY?….here goes…

Having a big rack is HARD!

Let me back up…Yesterday morning, I’m up at 6:30 am for our joyous 7am staff meeting that we have every Tuesday morning. Thankfully, we are given some compensation for the obscene hour that we are forced to be coherent at in the form of orange juice, bagels and croissants. So dear old me, I grab a small croissant and head back to my seat…anticipating the next hour of nodding along in the right places while enjoying my wonderfully flaky and still low point (since its so small) croissant. 15 mins later, I’m done with the croissant and I’m about to present my little shpeel during the meeting…I stand up, do my thing, sit down and continue doodling on the side of my agenda. About 30 seconds later I happen to glance down at my shirt and what do I see but HALF of my croissant just flaking away on my chest! So there I am brushing croissant flakes off my chest, then trying to discreetly brush them off my skirt all while paying attention to the incessant stream of chatter floating around the table and trying to not look like a paranoid crazy person that keeps staring at my chest to make sure I got it all….What’s more…I get called on during this whole fiasco to offer my input (I had NO idea, let me tell you about what direction the meeting was headed in) and so there I am babbling along to some question, holding onto a bunch of croissant flakes in one hand and leaning wayy forward so I can see over my chest to make sure I got all the flakes…oye vey!

Heres the thing that they don’t tell you when you are “well endowed”…they forget to mention that quite often, you have to lean into your food for fear that your chest will act as a plate for most of your meal. They forget to tell you that running is not as zen of an experience as those TV commercials would lead you to believe….some days if you are near TOM or you don’t have a strait jacket of a sports bra…it just hurts!! And sure you fill out your dresses well but what about those times when you find the perfect dress that fits wonderfully but just shows too much damn cleavage to be considered any sort of modest. And they forget to tell you that sometimes, it feels like no matter how much weight you lose, you will still look “curvy” “soft” or “endowed” rather than “toned, cut or shapely” and it takes more than just a little waist to look “skinny” So hallelujah, I look forward to minimizing some of these things with the weight loss (and being just the right amount of big…is there such a thing lol)…so next time you see a Hooters girl strutting her stuff…give her a little credit too…maybe she had to resign to the strait jacket at some point too!

Whitney Houston is stuck in my head, its raining outside, I’m eating a bowl of (you guess it)…oatmeal and I’m thinking thats its been a whole month since I joined WW.

Pros:
1. I’m learning to ditch the all or nothing attitude and believe me, I never thought that I would be able to. Blowing one day doesn’t amount to blowing a month.

2. For the first time in a long time, I feel in control. Sure I slip up (you guys know that!) but I’m learning to look myself straight in the mirror. Face it, Accept it, Defeat it. The hardest step is the first step; facing it.

3. I’ve learned a lot from the blogging community! Thanks you guys :)

4. Special shout out to Dottie and DWLZ…she keeps me sane

5. I’ve realized that logically as a student and as someone whose social life is made up of people in their 20s, food and eating out and drinks are a major part of any social gathering. Most people don’t have time to cook and even lesser time to plan. I can’t realistically cut myself from eating out ever but I’ve seriously learned how to make little substitutions to get big results. Who knew self control was a virtue I had?

6. I took a peak at the scale today and it showed 190.6. Maybe I can hit 180’s by March 1st.

7. I’m loving the 80 degree weather out today…not so much the 45 degrees its supposed to be tomm. Damn Texas, so fickle!

8. I lost a total of 3.6 lbs this month!

Cons:

1. I had more than a few splurges this month. Yes, I was learning and I was patient with myself but I have got to learn to follow the plan to a T…splurges have to be just this. Splurges.

2. It was a really hard month for me in my personal life: work was bad, graduation is upcoming and I’m still jobless/graduate school less, the BF left and is moving to NY.

3. I only lost 3.6 lbs this week. I definitely could have done better if I hadn’t been so splurgy this month but honestly, I learned from it. More, probably, than staying on plan everyday would have taught me. I don’t want to be that girl thats so hard on myself that the minute I see a piece of bread or a french Fri I eat the whole place down.

I’m sure theres more to add to both lists but so far so good.

On other news:

1. The BF was in town this weekend; we splurged on food and drinks and time; went to bed early, woke up late and just relaxed.

2. Went to studio movie grill and vantage point on Saturday night…I highly recommend the movie; I thought it was pretty great but I always sorta like government conspiracy movies so go watch it if you are into that sort of thing.

3. Got one workout in, not 2 but one.

4. I miss the BF whose moving to NY city on Thursday. I’ll still be in Dallas :(

5. I have a huge presentation and test tomorrow. Boo.

Ha, so I guess yesterday’s 3 extra AP points really came in handy because lord did I need them today.
For lunch, BF and I went to a Japanese Hibachi grill restaurant…Benihana’s. Have you been there? The food is pretty good but neither their website nor DWLZ had anything on the menu nutrition so I just sort of tried to wing it. I think I’m a little over the top but I know there was a lot of butter and oil in that food so I’ll just better safe than sorry.

THEN, after we got back, BF wanted Plucker’s wing factory for dinner. OF COURSE, it would be a joke if they published their menu. BF got an order of nachos (I had maybe a 1/4 of it) and an order of fried mushrooms (I had maybe 1/2). I have noo idea what the ballpark might even be but I tried! I’m pretty sure I’m far over than I need to be (I didn’t eat that much) but again, better safe than sorry.

SO here’s the damage from yesterday. Boy do I need to hit the gym this week.

I lost 2.8 this week; back to 193.8! I’m excited. Not much to say; BF’s in town (for the last time possibly in a long long long long like a year!) time!

We went to studio movie grill tonight and I tried to eat the best that I could. Split most of everything with the BF AND I had 35 mins to get in and out of the gym. Now in the past, I wouldve said a short workout is not worth it at all. Hell no. I busted my butt to the gym and did a high intensity 20 min high incline walk on the treadmill = 3 points earned!

I’m on my way out to dinner and happy hour with the girls. I’m looking up points values for martinis right now; I have only 10 points today but I dont intend to eat much at dinner so maybe it’ll all balance out?
I’m going to gain this week, I’m pretty sure but I’ll face the music; You get what you put into it and I haven’t put much into it this week :(
We are going to Martini Ranch :) It’s going to be so FUN!

I am SO COLD! I cannot deal with this cold/wet weather. One or the other, yes but NOT both, never both. ugh. So I’m here in slippers, pjs with a bowl of warm oatmeal wondering what I can share with you about my quirks (god know I have enough of them!)…Enjoy!

Six non-important things about me:

1. I cannot, never ever, write with a pen that doesn’t have a cap on it. I need to uncap the pen, make sure the cap is at the top of the pen before proceeding…it’s weird to some but I feel incomplete w/out it…what can I say?

2. I don’t drink out of any cup without a straw, especially restaurant cups. Yuck. One of the many benefits of eating at university cafeterias for the past 6 years. My bottle or a water bottle…now thats another story.

3. I cannot touch cotton balls that aren’t wet. This one is really weird. If I need to ever take off my nail polish I need to get the BF or my mom to douse the cotton ball in nail polish remover before I touch it. Otherwise, I get all tingly down my spine and itchy and its just odd. Psychological? Neurotic? I have no idea.

4. I am extremely grossed out by discussions of very bad (really bad) acne, warts or anything of the sort. Yes, I want to be a doctor but not a dermatologist. I could never do it. Just discussing something like that makes me sick to my stomach or gag. Yuck

5. I really dislike having cold feet. I always have either socks or slippers or shoes on…unless its the summer ;)

6. Its seemingly impossible for me to go a day without chapstick. My lips will swell up, I’ll look like I’ve been torturing them all day…hence at any one time, I’m pretty sure I have at least 4-5 tubes of chapstick…the bathroom, the purse, the workout bag, the backpack, the car. etc.
